Assamese and Bengali share a script, so a tool that identifies languages by writing system routes your audio through Bengali. One word in, "moi" has become "ami", and every pronoun and verb ending after it is Bengali too. Kalakar's Assamese is its own model, tuned on spoken Assamese from Guwahati and across Assam, so the pronouns come back as yours, and the Hindi and English you switch into mid-sentence comes back as you said it.

Assamese script is the pick for Bihu content, music, news commentary and education aimed at viewers in Assam, who read it daily and spot a Bengali letterform instantly. Roman Assamese suits fast comedy and vlogs, and younger viewers and the diaspora in Delhi, Bengaluru and abroad who type "bhal lagile like koribo" in the comments. Kalakar generates either from one transcription, so switching is a setting, not a re-edit.

When ৰ turns into র, fix that word.

Two letters separate Assamese from Bengali on the page, ৰ and ৱ, and a Bengali-routed tool writes র and ব in their place. Kalakar's Native output uses the Assamese letterforms. If one still slips through, or a sibilant gets heard as the nearest Bengali word, tap that word and correct it. Every word keeps its own timing, so the line around it doesn't shift.

You film on the way through Guwahati, and the road comes with you. Noise pulls accuracy down before the model hears a syllable, so turn on audio enhancement and the pass runs on cleaned audio. On clear audio Assamese transcribes at up to 97%. A better mic won't fix a Bengali model, but clean audio gets the most out of an Assamese one.

How to caption Assamese in Kalakar

Select Assamese, not Bengali, pick your script, generate. Then search the transcript for a word you know has ৰ in it, and read three lines to check the pronouns and verb endings are yours.
